STUDENT EVALUATIONS:  Students are always asked to complete an evaluation form, rate the workshop’s usefulness and provide comments.  The highest rating that can be given the workshop is “Very Beneficial” followed by “Beneficial”, “Somewhat Benefit” or “Not Beneficial.”  Following the May 2011 workshop in Dearborn , Michigan . 14 of the 16 students rated the workshop as “Very Beneficial” the highest rating. The remaining 2 rated it “Beneficial.” Student attending the June 2011 workshop in Little Rock , Arkansas commented:  Lt. L.M., LRPD, “This is one of the top five workshops that I have attended so far.  I’ve learned way more than a lot of other courses.”  Captain P.S., LRPD Academy Director commented,“Great Class.”  M.C. Cleburne Co SO commented, “Overall, very good workshop, extremely helpful.  I attended (named other company’s)grant writing workshop last year.  I am going back to my office and throw his stuff away.  This workshop was so much more professional and useable.” A Cape Coral PD student who attended the January 2011 in Deland, Fl had attended the workshop ten years before as a novice grant writer, she commented: :This was one of the two most valuable workshops I’ve attended in the past 10 years.” (That student reported having raised nearly $20 million for her department during the ten years since taking the first workshop.)  Other students commented down through the years: “More substantive info packed into less time than any of the four previous seminars that I’ve attended” .. ”Now I know why most of my previous grant proposals were denied!”  Excellent course..very well presented and focused” .. “Was expecting a program which could point a beginner in the right direction.  I got exactly what I was looking for and more” .. “You didn’t just go through the motions of instructing us..you wanted us to learn. I did!” .. “Well presented with interest and humor and with all of your vast knowledge of the subject” ..”This workshop brought my previous grant writing and project management skills into focus and has increased my professional confidence”
